Insights on the job market for university graduates
The international business expert panel will share thoughts and insights on the current and future job market prospects for university graduates and how the upcoming graduates should prepare themselves for the post-COVID-19 global business environment and job markets. When: April 24, 2020, 4-5 pm, Friday. Panel members: MR. KISHAN BULUSU (Founder and CEO, Trealth) Kishan Bulusu is the founder and CEO of Trealth and has more than 20 years of leadership experience at both entrepreneurial and established companies. He holds key executive leadership role at CloudFarbix Software where he leads their Global Sales and Business Development. As a managing director at JFP Holdings, a Merchant Bank for China, he advises Chinese and Global companies in adopting latest technologies and management best practices to create global footprint and participate in Chinese growth. His past work ventures include experience in banking, cross-border deals, technology and entrepreneurship. Prior to founding Trealth, Kishan was previously an MD with AnEX Global Partners, and founder and CEO of Intvo. Preceding his time at JFP Holdings, Kishan was a Managing Director at AnEx Global Partners, a New York-based financial services company focusing on cross-border transactions. There, he advised companies on investment opportunities in various industries, including logistics, technology, real estate, financial services, manufacturing and real estate, and worked extensively with a number of investor groups, including pension funds, hedge funds, private equity and venture capital firms. Prior to AnEx Global, Kishan was the founder and CEO of a mobile technology company, Intvo Inc., which developed a platform for enabling interactive mobile gaming applications. As an entrepreneur, Kishan worked with cross-border teams in the U.S., India and Europe. Before founding Intvo, Kishan consulted for several companies in leading their M&A, strategic business, technology initiatives and fundraising. Some of the companies he worked with include Proxim, KPMG, Motorola, Cisco, PBS, Tata, Godrej, GE, Crompton Greaves and JDSU. Kishan graduated with honors from Delhi University in India with a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce and earned his CAIA Charter in San Francisco. He is a Chartered Accountant from ICAI in New Delhi and a CMA from ICWAI in India. DR. MARY TEAGARDEN (Professor of Global Strategy, Thunderbird School of Global Management) Mary Teagarden, Ph.D., a professor of global strategy at Thunderbird School of Global Management, is a world-renowned thought leader and educator in the areas of global strategic management and strategic human resource management. She has published more than 70 articles, book chapters, and case studies in the area of strategic management, and her research focuses on global competitiveness and capability building with an emphasis on off-shore manufacturing and service, innovation, high technology transfer, sustainable development, talent management and the automotive, aviation, information technology, healthcare services, mining, and telecommunications industries. Her current research projects focus on business dynamics in the Asian Pacific Rim, Latin America, and emerging market economies, including China and India. She consults regularly with service and technology- intensive manufacturing firms and works with a variety of clients including AMEX, AT&T, Bank of China, China Telecom, Lenovo, Lucent Technologies, Motorola, Sony, and many others. Dr. Teagarden is the editor of Thunderbird International Business Review and sits on seven editorial boards. She serves as a Director of GlobalVantage, a high tech design firm, and is on Advisory Boards at Career Educational Services, a training and development firm, China Strategic Development Partners, a consulting firm, 4Stones, a cross-cultural communications firm, Televerde, a near shoring firm, and Huawei, a Chinese high tech giant. MR. JEFF WU (Chief Executive Officer, Symbio) Jeff Wu has leveraged his 20-plus years of product development, P&L management, globalization strategy, corporate marketing and operation experience in large and small enterprises as the Chief Executive Officer of Symbio, a global leader in innovative IT services. From 2015 to 2017, Jeff was COO at ScaleFlux, a Silicon Valley startup company developing cutting edge data storage and computing solutions. Previously, Jeff had spent 11 years as Corporate Executive Vice President at Pactera, the largest China based global IT Services company. At Pactera, Jeff had held a succession of responsibilities, serving as BG Head running large P&Ls of varies lines of business. Jeff was also company CMO and CGO (Chief Globalization Officer), pioneered Pactera’s global reach in US, Japan and Europe. Prior to joining Pactera, Jeff Wu was Vice President of Product Development at Wenditel Inc.; Chief Technology Officer of Ospect Inc. Since 1995, Jeff also worked for Cambridge Technology Partners/Novell, EDS/HP, Chordiant/Pegasystems and Ariba/SAP in various leading roles of product development, professional services and business line management. A frequent speaker at international forums, Jeff also sits on advisory board of USF School of Management’s China Studies Initiative. Jeff Wu received his Master's degree in Computer Science from University of Southern California and his Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Tongji University in Shanghai.
